Amongst other things, electronic products contain materials

which are harmful to the environment. For this reason,

WEEE must be handled differently to other types of waste.

 

It is important to be able to remove harmful

materials in a secure way. At the same time,

Danish Computer Recycling (DCR) seeks to

ensure that a range of scarce metals and

materials are extracted and recycled.

 

DCR`s objective is to recycle as much WEEE

as possible and according to DCR`s 2005 environmental

accounts, the recycling percentage for all WEEE was 89%.

These operations are carried out as per ISO 14001

certification and, therefore, with a uniform and safe approach

to environmental issues.
